NVIDIA GPU driver v190.62 released

nvidiaNVIDIA has taken the wraps off of the newest driver revision for GeForce 100, 200, 6000, 7000, 8000, 9000 GPUs. Weighing in at roughly 80-120MB, this WHQL Windows XP/Vista/7 driver delivers the following changes:

  • Adds support for OpenGL 3.1
  • Adds support for CUDA 2.3 for improved performance in GPU Computing applications. See CUDA Zone for more details.
  • Adds a new user-controlled power management setting for select GeForce 9-series and later graphics cards (only available on cards that already support more than one power state). This option allows users to set a performance level for each DirectX or OpenGL application.
  • Includes several new control panel features and numerous bug fixes. More information can be found in the release documentation.

There is nothing earth shattering in this release, but it’s always a cozy feeling to have the newest drivers, so get your fix below.

You know... I'm glad they push out drivers constantly... but wouldn't it be nice if they maybe took a bit more time and released drivers that were less buggy? Getting kinda sick of Mass Effect crashing all the time (especially since I can't downgrade my drivers to the working 176 on Windows 7 afaik).

Hopefully win7 will let me do SLi with these :|

Still can't get these drivers to initialize properly. Even changing the monitor's res to 800x600 does nothing.

Makes me wonder if they forgot to include my MSI 9600GT OC in the 190 series supported products as I didn't see it listed in this latest version.

  4. Overclocked video cards are overclocked in the GPU BIOS, and a 9600GT is a 9600GT. Something else is amiss.

I don't really know whats going on. The entire 190 series drivers just won't work on my system. Any of the previous versions work just fine.

Hey, be nice. Icrontic is full of good people, we promise.
