Writing news for Icrontic

You’re interested in contributing news to Icrontic? Awesome! Here’s a few guidelines to follow:

  1. Everything must be your own words. That doesn’t mean simply re-phrasing, either.
  2. Quotes must be attributed with links, and should not dominate the submission.
  3. If an image is absolutely vital, email it to Brian (brian@) for inclusion.
  4. The most useful news doesn’t just link to Slashdot reports; it draws on multiple sources and analyzes why it is relevant.
  5. The first 2-3 sentences should explain the entire story succinctly. This isn’t English class; don’t tease, and don’t write 20-word-sentence prose.

The staff will look over all news submissions and edit / approve them as they see fit. We’ll try to provide feedback whenever possible.
