That's right! If you don't frequent the Icrontic Discord you may not have known that we have started hosting a community Minecraft server. We are currently playing Java 1.13.2 which is the latest stable build. The server IP is currently 216.54.107.142:25565.

Minecraft 2B2T

So, I started playing Minecraft on the 2B2T Minecraft server. It is a 10 year old anarchy server with a map that has never been reset. The wait list was a little long and it was a bear escaping spawn but once out, like 2k blocks out I felt a real sense of accomplishment. Between other players, lava casts, and withers. This server has known empires, dinastys, war. Most people use hacked clients, I am not, adds to the challenge. The reason I bring it up is I was wondering if anybody wants to join me, carve out a spot to plant a banner and add Icrontic to the jumble of factions. Content warnning however, the community is TOXIC, if you have any triggers I reccomend you install a client side mod to disable chat because it doesn't matter what it is the chat will hit all of them.

I've been playing probably 20 hours or so on this since Tuesday, and I've got to say, it's worth the 20 bucks. I did buy the Hero Edition for 30 to get the future DLCs.

The game is simplistic, fast, and at times unforgiving, everything I was hoping for. It's depth has been trimmed down, but enough left in there you can really customize how you want to play. Though there are quite a few kind of stupid decisions in my opinion, none of them are big enough to really retract from the overall fun. You mind if just learn to game the game system.

There is maybe only 2 dozen total weapons, or armor, but each one is unique in its function. Each individual item will be assigned 1-3 enchantment slots with 1-3 enchantment options per slot. So your specific goals may be hard to achieve, but it let's you play around with different styles. Leading to lots of grinding if you really wanted to play a certain way.

While the game can be unforgiving in both challenge and RNG the drawbacks to messing up are pretty much nonexistent. You can die 4 times before just being booted from the level and having to start over. Enchanted some gear that's not working anymore you can just destroy it and get your points back and some money at the same time.

All and all, it's a nice game to sit and grind through while watching a movie or chatting. And all while being easy enough my 5 year old can destroy some monsters.

Hey y'all,
I'm excited to bring back an old expo tradition for this weekend's Minecraft session! We'll be doing a creative challenge starting at 8pm EST sharp. This challenge will probably only last an hour, so we recommend that you log on a little early in the event of technical problems or questions. I will give you a prompt, and then you will have an hour to make something in creative mode that fits that prompt. There's pretty much no rules besides the time limit-- you can make whatever you want with the materials available in creative mode, within a certain plot size on the map. Obviously, touching the creations of other players is also against the rules.

There will be two prizes available for this challenge-- a first place prize for most creative/impressive art piece, and a participation prize available by raffle. The competition will be judged blind by me.

First place prize: Creeper plush because I'm your pal the Creeper Queen (you'll need to give me your address to get this)

Participation Prize Raffle-- $10 Amazon gift card (no address needed, can send as digital code)

What I need is copies of the old Minecraft server's maps/world files. Any and all of them, back to the Alpha sky bridge server.

I'll be digging through some old drives to try to find my copies, but if you have them handy, please let me know so I can grab a copy from ya.

I wanted to do something in memorial for Kyle aka TheRedburn, but I was struggling to come up with something that I felt would be representative of Icrontic. So I present to everyone a Mark Hoppus Fender bass built in our server. I know Kyle was a fan of Blink 182 and was on his own journey to learning the bass guitar.

So with that I have decided to open our survival server to those who would like to do a creative build in dedication to Kyle. If you would like to build something for him, please let me know so I can get you whitelisted and give you creative mode. Current players just let an admin know you would like to build and they should be able to set you to creative.

So, I have been wanting to do this for a while, figure now would be a good time. I intend to try to get an Icrontic chain world set up. A chain world is a challenge where one person starts a Minecraft world, they get one life in which to slay the Ender Dragon and then the Wither. After that they name a successor and pass the world to them, where they pick up until uch time as they die, any rules (which there will be to make it harder) or details will also be passed at this time, and I figured it would be fun to try it with Icrontic. I will start it off, I just need a list of people interested so I can name a successor. Successor will be named once I have a list, will E-Mail the world file with pertinent world details once I die. So whose in?

I recently built an autosmelter on the server to speed up stone smelting (I tend to go through the stuff like crazy) however it appears that hoppers are refusing to:

A: Accept from chests/furnaces

B: Send to Chests/furnaces.

I would like to create a maze arena for pvp and for a little lighter fun snowball/egg fights...
i have all the stone and sand i could ever need but am taking donations for the following:

Iron bars (ingots work too)

Blue Red Green and Yellow Dyes

Wool (1 stack)

Glass

Coal (for glass torches and stone)

If trials go well i would also like to add 4 pistoned entry/exit points, so if anyone would like to help with the design of the redstone system, that would be great.

Proposal: New Player "Marketplace"

As I play Minecraft, I notice that I am obtaining extra items (i.e. eggs) that I don't really need. So I set up a chest (public access) outside of my place so that any new player who passes by can obtain some eggs to start a chicken farm. As I did that, I thought to myself: "Wouldn't it be nice if we had a 'marketplace' of some sort where we can put our extra items for new players to get a head start on their claim?" So I pitch my proposal to you, the people of Icrontic, for a "marketplace" for new players. Thank you and I look forward to your feedback.

Exploration bases suggestion

As I looked over the Minecraft map, I noticed a lot of black spaces on it. I was informed that those were the undiscovered areas. I started thinking about setting up 3 Forward Operating Bases (FOB's) at strategic locations to have areas to provide starting points for expeditions. They will provide rest areas as well as provide supplies for smaller expedition bases. I wanted to throw this out there to you guys in case any of you want to help.

Mobs Frequency

Quick question about the mobs: there doesn't seem to be many mobs at all spawning at night, which is fine by me. Occasionally a random mob or two will appear unannounced, it seems really strange. What are the server rules for mob spawning?

...we’re collaborating with Telltale Games to create Minecraft: Story Mode! Here are some bullet points to celebrate!

Minecraft: Story mode will be a narrative-driven video game created by Telltale Games. It will be about Minecraft.
Mojang is collaborating with Telltale and members of the community to make Minecraft: Story Mode as Minecrafty as possible.
The first episode will be released some time in 2015, and will be available on Xbox consoles, PlayStation consoles, PC, Mac, iOS, and Android-based devices.
Minecraft: Story Mode will be released episodically, just like The Wolf Among Us, The Walking Dead, or the recent Tales from the Borderlands, which is another developer-collaboration series between Telltale Games and Gearbox Software.
We’re not intending on creating an “official” story for Steve, or explaining the world of Minecraft in detail. It will be a cool game.

Operation; Ender Ender (Enderman XP Farm)

Been amin at getting an ender ender up and runnin for a while now. going to be goin with the DocM77 design for this one. Current;y I am at stage one, farm a crap ton of snow. This is because snow is cheap as well as enderman proof and can be farmed quickly. don'tt need donations as of yet, still need to plot out all I need, but this thing will be massive. One thing that would be appreciated right now would be stone shovels to expediate the snow farming however, snow farms just EAT shovels. Furthermore there is an enderman killing structure up, but it's just a platform, but use it if you wish untill the Ender Ender is functional.

I am conducting a de-forestation project on the hill near my settlement. According to the DynMap, there is a settlement with no claim on it at DynMap coordinates -568,65,-451. I have went by there and it is built up (I took nothing from it). Whomever "owns" that settlement, please contact me so that I know that it is still in use. Thank you.
