Week one is in the books. I think I'm gonna like it here.
Detroit man shits on thread, has nothing productive to offer.
I dunno, I find laughter to be quite productive
I have noting productive to add, just this...
We will be officially ex-New Yorkers on August 15th. Dagmara and I will be loading up the dogs, hitching the trailer to the Metallic Pea Wagon Queen Family Truckster, and driving down to Florida, bidding New York a fond fuck you for being so goddamn expensive farewell.
It's insane. It still hasn't sunk in, because we're still not all together yet. Our reunion can't come soon enough. I'm at the end of my rope. Driving 800 miles per week, to and from work, is wearing me out.
I still don't have a closing date for our new house, but I'm less concerned about that. At least we'll all be together- not including my occasional weekend trips- for the first time since the end of March.
As soon as we're all moved in, you're all welcome to stop by and spend the night at Icrontic South Florida™. We have plenty of room. And a pool. And naked pictures of @Thrax plastering the walls.
That's gonna feel so good. I'm really happy for you guys
That's awesome. Let me know if you need any help unloading furniture and whatnot. I can drive down there from Central Florida. Also, I look forward to Icrontic South Florida pool parties!!
And we're officially no longer New Yorkers. We're closing on the the 28th, and should be settled in by the beginning of September.
We're moved in. The kids are in school. My commute is half as long as it used to be. Life is good. Oh yeah, and Florida woman:
Oh man, you are going to love "winter" the pace of crazy actually picks up in your part of the state where as it drops off up here in the Panhandle cause we actually get a winter with sleet, freezing rain, and sometimes snow.
