Internet Optimizer and Trojan Downloader Apher

I've been hit with some spyware I can't get rid of.

I have run the removal programs but it keeps coming back. The The programs left and running the clean process are Internet optimizer and Trojan Downlader Apher.

A new window is continually being launched, it has made the computer almost unusable.

Clear out your prefetch folder first.

Run HiJackThis then:

1. Click "Open the Misc Tools Section"
2. Click "Open Process manager"

Next, while holding down the CTRL key, locate (if present) and click on (highlight) each of the following:

C:\Program Files\Djkoj\Xtfbknm.exe
C:\DriverLoad\svchost.exe

Now double-check and make sure that only those item(s) above are highlighted, then click "Kill process". Now, click "Refresh", check again, and repeat this step if any remain.

Still in HiJackThis, click "Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:

Download, install and keep updated, SpywareBlaster. If you've installed it for the first time:

1) Check for any available updates; if present, they'll be automatically downloaded and installed.
2) Next, "Enable all protection".
3) Exit the program.

What is the prefetch folder and how do you clear it out?

The prefetch folder is where certain apps are sort of pre-loaded by XP to speed up the start up for them.
Run a search for prefetch on your PC using START>SEARCH and locate the folder that way. Once there go to the EDIT button on the toolbar and hit the 'select all' text. Then hit the FILE button on the toolbar and hit the 'delete' text. You will get a prompt asking if you want to delete them all. Select 'yes.'
