Qoologic

I too have had to QOOLOGIC.AI,AL,AO,BJ for the last week. Don't know where it came from or how it got on my system. I have looked high and low and googled and searched for a fix. NOTHING!!!!!

I have used Housecall,Symantec, a squared, panda, ad aware, spybot s&d, L2Me, hijackthis but to no avail.....FINALLY, I found this QOOFIX from http://www.besttechie.net/tools/Qoofix.zip.

Here are my WinPFind, Track qoo, hijackthis, and Qoo fix text logs.
Please let me know if my "TROUBLE" is gone.
Thanks!!!!!

WARNING: not all files found by this scanner are bad. Consult with a knowledgable person before proceeding.

If you see a message in the titlebar saying "Not responding..." you can ignore it. Windows somethimes displays this message due to the high volume of disk I/O. As long as the hard disk light is flashing, the program is still working properly.

Hello AZBikerRN, and welcome to Short-Media Forums. :)

Did you run HijackThis before QOOFIX? I still see presence of the qoologic infection in the HJT log. Please rescan with HijackThis and post the new log in your next reply.

Hello to you, Chiawaikian, and thank you.

No I didn't run hijackthis before Qoofix. I read many threads on how to remove this nasty problem, and ran WinPFind, TrackQoo, Qoofix, and hijackthis respectively.

After running the above, I then ran Housecall and Symantec and they found several other "BUGS" on my system along with Qoologic, BUT they said they were able to get rid/or quarantine everything.

Do you think my computer is toast? I is running better than it was. Also, I just switched to Vonage and leave my modem on all the time, do you think that is leaving me vunerable?

    I appreciate any help. Thanks.

    Right-click the FindQool.zip folder
    Select: Extract all

In the Extraction Wizard, press Next
Make sure the area which says Files will be extracted to this directory has the following in it:
C:\FindQool (The folder must be in C:\ to work. <-Important!)
    Click: Next
    Click: Finish

    Double click the FindQool folder
    Double click: Qlocate.bat

I cannot run the Qlocate.bat! I see the black command prompt screen
"FLASH" up on the screen for about half a second. I followed directions to the letter. Please advise.
    Thanks.

Thanks, I have tried this but I get a window that says that the site is unavailable and that qoofix.bat cannot be downloaded. I have tried several times and on different days too. Please advise.
    Thanks for your time.

Please download Qoofix by RubbeR DuckY from http://www.malwarebytes.org/Qoofix.zip
    1. Unzip all files to a convenient location such as C:\Qoofix.
    2. Go to the folder you unzipped all files and run Qoofix.exe.
    3. Click Begin Removal and wait for the scan to finish.
    4. If an infection has been found, select yes to restart your computer.

Finally post a new Hijack This log and the contents of the Qoofix logfile.
