How did you choose you forum name, what does it mean?
I got mine when I tried to register for my second ISP, I had to pick a user name and after five were rejected because they were in use I thought "I can't be bothered, Hang on, yes I can" and it let me have it. I've been bothered ever since.
So Mr hunglikeadonkey, how d'ya get yours?

bothered.

I've used this nick since 1995/1996. I picked it because it combines two of my favorite Christian songs: Addicted 2 Jesus (a2j) and Jesus Freak (jfreak). Since a2jjfreak looked weird, and since both j's were for Jesus, I chose a2jfreak. Before that I had used JesusFrek and JFreak on Undernet (an irc network) but too many people also started using that nick, so I picked something that was truly original.

Well ishiii is a name I have been usen for a few years now. Five I think.
It all started cause I was pissed that my nick was often in use everywhere I went. So I just pushed some keys on the keyboard and there it was.
Turns out it is a Japanese family name, translates as "stone" i was once told.

Pretty much decided i wanted a new name one day, when deciding to play some fps i hadnt touched for quite a while. I was basically randomly key hitting/word typing, and Souriat came up and stuck for some reason which im not entirely sure of.

It also appears to mean something in french although i dont have a clue what, perhaps someone here knows? :)

One of my favorite movies is Fight Club, so when I first joined back in the Icrontic days, I was TylerDurden, but most people called me TD. I got bored of TylerDurden so I took TD and combined it with my favorite hockey team, the Islanders, and TD_Isles was born.

I've had mine since back when prodigy and compuserve were as big as AOL. It all started when playing Doom 2, there was this monster called the Mancubus, you know the fat blob with two chain guns. Of course I didn't know how it was spelled so Mancabus came out, and that is what I have had since first picking my AOL screenname. No I don't use AOL anymore.

One of the names listed for a top-10 record time on the autumn valley track in the first Need for Speed: Hypothraxer.

I took Thrax 9 months later for online roleplay, and haven't changed it in seven years. I'm Thrax or Thracks everywhere.

    2 reasons,

It does have my initials (M and Z).
The other reason is that nobody would be stupid enough to choose an ugly name like mackanz so i can keep it for myself.

I picked this name about 6 years ago (as far as I was aware, I had made it up, wasn't aware it was a plant, or a highly used name :( ) but had to stick 737 on the end when I started using the net because it was always taken :(

This is my favorite animal in North America as well as my favorite animal to hunt. It is actually more dangerous than hunting 1500 pound bears due to where Mt. Goats live and that they take full advantage of their terrain when threatened. I have also been told that I climb like a Mt. goat so that is where I got it. It also sounds better than my previous nicname of "Bull Dog" that I got in the Army and carried with me all 9 years till discharged. I got it through my tenasity combined with being short and muscular.

My first name can be shortened to Nic (or Dom), and at the time I started to do this I needed an online name so randomly made Nixxer. Stuck with it 2 years now, don't intend on changing it.

In 1995 or 1996, I got my hands on a keygen for WinZip. It was probably the first PC software I ever "obtained" (I had been at Atari junkie before that) and I was young and felt pretty cool about that.

So, in the keygen you had to put in a name. I typed in PRIMEsuspect.

I used that key so many times that I memorized the hex code that it spat out (can you believe that even on version 9, that key STILL WORKS?)

    primesuspect stuck.

Droege is my family name. My mother named me Christopher. My middle name, Bernard, is my father's first name (family tradition).

Although, I like the name Christopher, I really don't like the name Chris, but people would never stop calling me Chris. So, some time in grade school (where there were way too many boys named Chris, anyway), I started telling people that if they couldn't call me Christopher, then I would like them to call me CB. Not surprisingly, the majority have opted for the shorter-to-say name.

While I'll use aliases in games (usualy some form of Zedlar, a name I created a very long time ago, and which has almost a dozen variations by now), I've never seen reason not to use my own name in forums.

    SimGuy.

Ever since 1992, I've been working with Ocean Quigley over at Maxis (now EA Games) beta testing, reporting bugs and trial-running all of the Sim games that have been released. I think it's a fair deal: I beta test, they send me a free copy of the game when it is done. I'm not going to complain. :)

Anywhere I go on the Intarweb, SimGuy is my name. If it's taken, it's SimGuy74, in reference to a Star Trek website I used to run called StarBase 74. :)

The name 'CyrixInstead' arises from when I used to have LAN parties with my friends.

On Windows 98 if you took a look at the System Properties of your PC, you'd see the Computer Name displayed. My mates' computers displayed 'GenuineIntel' and 'AuthenticAMD', and there my system was proudly displaying 'CyrixInstead'.

I used it as my name in the games, and it stuck when I moved to the web.

Recently, it seems to have become Cyrix, but I don't mind either.

my first SN on...dun dun dun....AOL back in 1996 was "Camman1153", and my mother made it up for me, yup, I'm that cool, cause she called me Camman (my real name is Cameron, so usually people call me Cam) (and btw it's pronounced Cam Man, as two distinct parts, i've noticed people on CS voice chat cramming it together and saying it fast, and it sounds weird)

but anyway, so I've been using Camman everywhere, except when it's taken, then I use Camman2003 cause thats my year of graduation. :)

Ahhh it was a long time ago back in 1999, when the Dreamcast was released. My favorite game was Soul Caliber, and my favorite character was Kilik, so my name for like 2 years was Kilik00, I just added the 00 for the heck of it.

Once that got old, and I migrated from the game site I used to moderate for, I started using Clutch when thinking of a new screen name, it is usually already taken at most sites, but I just use IC_Clutch, that name started when I was over at Icrontic when it was the old site.
