Okay - that answer makes more sense to me. Thanks

...in another year or two, when 3DMark07 or 08 is out, with tricks and software torture two years ahead of the games available in 07 or 08, and then...

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy benchmarking as much as the next guy. I just hope members here don't feel they need new $$$ video cards because of a less than stellar showing in 3DMark.

Just wait till I unleash my 3D Rage!

Well my ATI card took a beating, nothing like running a BM and watching consistent 6FPS

    AMD 64 3200 stock speeds
    ATI X850 256 AGP
    Smoking 1652score

    AMD 64 3800X2
    Nvidia 7800 GT OC (BFG)
    bit more smoking 3679score.

The difference between the 2 systems in Aquamark is like 14,000

    Interesting.

I found that posted online and this is all I could find:
right click anywhere in the 3D Mark 2003 window and select "open saved result in excel". That way you can see and (if you want) edit them or add notes or stuff like that. U just need excel in order to open them...
I opened up my 2006 and found that option, but it was grayed out - I guess it's only for the Pro edition?

I think it works after you bench and get sesults to save ...not sure just a guess.
I'm not too worried about it though I was getting slight artifacts anyway.
I clocked down the card to 488/1300 and ended up with 4501 and I'm happy with that. Next I'll be working oc'ing the processor with the x10 multi.

The to Excel option is available for pro version only. The only way to veiw saved results is to submit them if you don't have the pro version. I know it's available in my screenshots but that's because I do have the pro version.

Brian did you save the sceeny so we could see the cpu score? I'd like to check that out. The ati video cards always score low on this bench for some odd reason ...

Does the x850 have SM3.0? If not that could be why it's scoring low.

    'fraid not :(

That was one of the big issues between the 6800 and x8xx series cards last year. I don't think ATI thought SM3 would take off like it did..

Card is really a vanilla 6800 with the pipelines open and tricked to think its an Ultra, still runs at 6800 speeds though.

First one is with my card at stock, 2nd one is OC'ed to 350/800.

CPU was, uhhh, interesting to say the least. Nothing like averaging around .25 fps!!

    A bit low...

And why does it say my GPU core is at 10.5 mhz? My 6800 is clocked at 407/864.
