HIYO! My friends, that band is truly, truly excellent. I was completely addicted to it for a long time, and that doesn't happen too often with me.

Brad Sucks - Dirtbag (from that one Requiem/Toy Story "trailer")
    Moving Mountains - Alastika
Ilyas Ahmed - Golden Eyes (if you like somewhat meandering acoustic fingerpicking music, this is a definite must!)

(for the record, Hawthorne Heights is neither here nor there; they are, in fact, sh*t :D)

Hawthorne Heights = nothing close to resembling Screamo!

How would you classify them? From the lyrics (below) I'd say they were 'emo'...and from the vocals in the song, I'd definitely consider them screamer. Some of the stuff I listen to would be considered emo, I'm sure. I'm not making judgement good or bad about Hawthorne Heights though.

    Hey there,
I know it's hard to feel like I don't care at all.
Where you are and how you feel.
With these lights off as these wheels
keep rolling on and on. (and on and on and on...)
Slow things down or speed them up.
Not enough or way too much. (and on and on and on...)
How are you when I'm gone?

    Chorus:
And I can't make it on my own.
(And I can't make it on my own.)
Because my heart is in Ohio.
So cut my wrists and black my eyes.
(Cut my wrists and black my eyes)
So I can fall asleep tonight, or die.
    Because you kill me.
You know you do, you kill me well.
You like it too, and I can tell.
You never stop until my final breath is gone.

Spare me just three last words.
"I love you" is all she heard.
I'll wait for you, but I can't wait forever.
    x2

    Chorus:
And I can't make it on my own.
(And I can't make it on my own.)
Because my heart is in Ohio.
So cut my wrists and black my eyes.

You know you do, you kill me well.
You like it too, and I can tell.
You never stop until my final breath is gone.

    (YOU...KILL...ME...WELL)
So cut my wrists and black my eyes.
    My final breath is gone
So I can fall asleep tonight

I actually really like the background music of that song...but I agree, the lyrics leave something to be desired.

Go listen to real screamo like Saetia or Hot Cross and you'll notice a difference! HH is more melodic metalcore than screamo.

Hawthorne Heights isnt really screamo, i listen to a lot of "screaming" music. just because they scream doesnt mean they are emo. and just because you listen to it dont mean your emo either, i listen to rock/hardcore/screamo and im far from emo. ;)

Edit: .............. LIN we played STAY (dave matthews band) last year for drumline, or i should say marching band.

Electronic music, but it's very good. I would totally dance to this if I could dance.

Quasi - When the Going Gets Dark
Hm. I don't know. I must've been thinking of the wrong Quasi, becuase this is different. It's pretty good, but not what I was expecting I guess.

Matmos - Germs Burn for Darby Crash
HOLY WOW. I first listened to this song during study hall on my Rio, with some Sennheiser PX100s, and it made me realize how awesome those headphones are. The positional audio is interesting on speakers, but put on some headphones with this song. I actually looked like, above and around my head for the source of the weird noises. Amazing. Simply amazing. The whole album is incredibly interesting.

OH YEAH! I was listening to this album last night and this song came on. Couldn't figure out why it was so familiar, then all the sudden it hit me - House theme song. Even better with the vocals, I think. Liz Fraser singing - what a beautiful voice.
