My wife needs a 'new' computer. She is still running one of my old KT7As.
So I am going to buy a new computer, for me, and rebuild a 'new' machine for her.
I was going to base her's on my NF7-Sv2 mobo. I figure if I use a good cooler (Big Typhoon) and a decent PSU (Asus Atlas) I should get a fairly quiet box.
Neither of my NF7s have been OCed too hard. How durable are they? I figure that I would clock hers at 200x10. It will feel fast without puting a strain on the CPU.

Of course mine will be a C2D on a MSI mobo with a X1950pro video card.:D

200x10 would be a walk in the park for that board.

That would probably be the most inexpensive route. What chip will you use?
I was thinking a mobile athlon could take you up to 2.5g w/ no problem.

I've been running my NF-7 at 11 X 200 (2.2 Ghz) on a 2500+ Barton CPU for 2-1/2 years with no problems ever.

    Yep, an XP M2400+ @ 2.6Ghz (13 x 200) on 1.65v 24/7.
