I use aim myself. What IM program do you use the most? I used to use icq but it was a resource hog, or it seemed like to me, so I unistalled it about 3 years ago.

Trillian over here too. In fact, Trillian pro. I chose not to use yahoo because it sucks :-/. I also use IRC, although not through trillian, just mIRC.

    AIM, ICQ and MSN :(

    MSN - College
    ICQ - SWAF and IC
    AIM - Other People

Though Im about to uninstall ICQ due to an annoying security risk that just popped up.

Trillian Pro and mIrce under Windows, and Gaim and X-chat for under linux. Still fell alittle odd about paying money for an IM program, but Trillian Pro is a kick ass program.

Aim and ventrilo here. I use aim to chat with friends, and we use ventrilo to voice chat with other staff members of the forums I mod on. Ventrilo brings things to much more personal level and helps to keep any misunderstandings to a minimum.

That's mainly because trillian can be used with most all the above, but the thing I didn't care for about trillian was the sounds it makes when you recieve a message. Can't turn them up loud enough through their options, so then you have to resort to upping the volume on the speakers and then everything else comes in too loud. I use aim because it's loud enough that I don't have to mess with the volume and can still hear it if I'm in the other room doing something else.

I assume it has .wavs or whatever with the program, can you edit them to make them louder? Sounds annoying though.

Trillian Pro and mIRC on occasion. I've mainly resorted to the IRC features in Trillian as of late though.

I use mostly AIM, and occasionally some MSN. I didn't like Trillian too much when I tried using it, it just wasn't as nice for me as the others were, is Trillian Pro any improvement over the standard old Trillian?

I'm not too sure on the big differences between normal Trillian and Pro, but I'm sure trillian.cc will help ;) I've used both and I just really prefer Pro for reasons unbeknownst to me. Well ok maybe I know the reasons, but I can't think of them off the top of my head, heh.
