Which p4 board would yall recommend i look into?

Asus or Abit with 865 or 875 chipset. Those are the best 4 boards I think.

If you want the best performance w/o OCing get the 875 chipset. Its supposed ot have PAT with improved memory latencies. They wont be the cheapest boards tho.

These will require DDR RAM and a different HSF unless you had a SLK900U or something that is compatible with the Intel and AMD sockets.

Good choice. I would pick one of those 4 with the most features you want.

Before you make a final decision.
I suggest you go to the Intel forum, and go to the ASUS thread, then go to Abit thread, and so on.
This may help you in making a decision as to which has the most problems and what these problems are.
I am running my first Abit board and I am lovin this Max3.
I know the price is quite expensive to purchase.
Well worth it in my thoughts.

There really isn't anything wrong with the one you listed but there are others that will serve you better in the long run as far as performance and useable features. According to most user response across several sites I would say it would be prefferable to go with one of the following:

    ASUS P4P800 Deluxe Retail

Asus P4C800 DELUXE Retail w/ ASUS AI Features

    Asus P4C800-E DELUXE Retail
