I've had several favorites, and I keep updating the top spot.

My newest favorite: Leinenkugel's Sunset Wheat.

Omigosh it's fruity and delicious.

i had a great Witbier last night, at a local shop called the Royal Oak Brewery. It was their house Witbier, and it was very awesomeish.

Also some stranger puked all over my friend Jeff's back. That's the truth.

Yep, Royal Oak Brewery makes a mean witbier. Naturally I suggest Hoegaarden Witbier, because it's my signature brew and delicious (Tasty and relatively common). Also, it's been hard to find, but Southampton Belgian White Ale is my favorite wheat on earth. Blue Moon Belgian White is also very good. All these brews are subtle variations on a theme, and it's up to your palette at that point.

Anyhow, Belgian Witbier is my favorite type of brew. As you can see.

I've been thinking about visiting Detroit again sometime. When I do, I'll definitely have to check out the awesomeish local witbier.

I'll have to bring up some stuff from the Columbus Brewing Company, too. (it's no Leinenkugels, but it'll do)

Boulevard used to occupy the top spot; I remember bringing back a 12 pack to wheat beer-poor New Mexico. Then I became a girl and all

At least I don't take my Leinenkugel's with an actual piece of fruit in it. You fruity fruitster. Yeah. Take... that.

Have to agree with Thrax on the Belgian witbier, never had one I didn't like. Otherwise, a close 2nd for me is a good Hefeweizen including the Harvest Hefeweizen from BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse which is pretty good considering it's relatively widespread availability.

I was not a big fan of wheat beers until I spent a few months crawling bars in Germany and Belgium and perfected the only 2 German words I ever needed to know.

    Hausbier bitte

When I was a teenager, one of my father's friends made some honey-wheat mead in his basement. It was one of the tastiest things I'd ever quaffed. He tried to make it again several years later, and couldn't get the recipe just right again. :( The flavor of that special evening is now lost forever.
