Installing Windows Problem!!

edited June 2008 in Hardware
Well I'm trying to install Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 on a computer. I reformat the Hard Drive, and the install continues until it has 39 minutes left, then it crashes, I reboot, reformat, it crashes during the format, reboot, reformat, and it crashes when it gets to 39 minutes left again on the install.

Oh Ya and after the second 2 times it BSOD'ed. I left it sitting on the BSOD so I'll write down the error message now.

A problem has been detected and your windows has been shut down to prevent damage from happening to your computer.

Is the Hard Drive bad? Is there any way I can check it without having the computer started up into an operating system? I hope Hitachi has a good warranty on its drives. :D

Re-Run the test no correctable errors.
