    780i is the best nvidia chipset out, but i would still go Intel. x48 is basically a binned x38 capable of higher fsb and ddr1600 rated. so between those two go for the x48. I would still go with the p35 chipset. It will overclock just as well and at half the price.

    Lots of P45 offerings have just hit the streets as well. I too would pick an intel chipset over nvidia at this point. I would only consider the 780i if SLI is important to you.

    Yeah the only reason for the 780i or most any Nvidia chipset is for SLi, the new p45 chips offer everything the current 700 series do, plus Matrix raid.......yeah. But yeah Magic said what the x48 does as an upgrade. It all just kind of pick one mang
