When we do something, you know we do it right. UPSLynx' honest question blossomed into a whole "thing" with many of the guys in IC, and a few of us got signed up over at Badger & Blade to discuss all things shaving and manly.

Well, one thing led to another, and now we have Susie from Susie's Bubbles stopping by for a visit to make available some of her custom shaving soaps. She'll have a small table set up during one of the days (probably Saturday) with her stuff for sale.

If you are interested in this rare opportunity, bring extra cash!

I'll have to make sure I pick some up, I think I'm going to finally shave off my manly beard and go clean shaven. It's been a while since my chin saw the light of day, so I hope I don't have terrible tan lines.

I'll pick some up. We anyone be interested in going into town with me one day to get all the other necessities (blade, brush, pencil, etc)? I wanna get into it but there are no places around here that sell that stuff - I'd like it if someone else cut their face open with me then I wouldn't feel like such a nub.

    cheers

Hi all, this is what I thought would be a good idea.

If you would like something specific, please head over to my web site at http://www.susiesbubbles.net/ don't order there, as it will charge you shipping. But that will give you the price and options. Just send me an email as susiekm@comcast.net (please let me know who are you and what site you are from) or PM me here with what you want. I can then send you a Paypal invoice, you can pay and I can bring. Also, I will bring a basket of my shaving soaps, various scents and formulas and you can chose from there. Also, I thought I would do up a few guest soaps (shaped like turtles and frogs) in the Shaving soap formula, for those who would like to try it, but don't want to invest in a whole shaving round. The shaving rounds go for $4.00, the guest shaving soaps go for $2.00. I also have a couple of terrific package deals on the site. Thanks for inviting me, I'm looking forward to meeting you!!!

    Thanks,
    Susie

AND lost sales.... I was planning on dropping some SERIOUS cash. I hate the way I shave and wanted to change. Samples may help... There is always next year. ;)

I highly doubt anyone was more disappointed then me. I spent the last 2 weeks very excited and making soap and other goodies for your group only have have my plans blow up in my face on Friday evening, by some family issues. So I had to pack up my stuff and put it away, and not do what I wanted to do, but instead take care of my family. I also didn't receive any emails as to what you wanted, like I requested, so as far as I was concerned, it really didn't look like there was much of an interest other then a few people posting on the thread. But I was going to bring what I had anyways, and hope that someone might be actually interested. If there had been some pre-orders, I would have sent the husband over for 10 minutes, while I dealt with the problems. I don't expect to be invited again, I don't expect you to buy from me, I don't even expect you to understand or care. But at least you know some of the facts. So again, I apologize to the people I disappointed but my family will always come first.

We sometimes poke too much fun at folks, please accept our apologies. I hope everything is ok with your family. Family is always first... we know that.

As for the ordering... I would need to know what you have and what I need. I am not against grabbing some stuff from you. BTW, it takes a lot to NOT get invited to out parties... you'll be invited. :D

Suz, trust me, you'll be invited again. there are a lot of people who are interested in your products.

Guys, I invite you to check out her website, I'm pretty sure most of what she was going to bring is available on her site.

The majority of us are family people, we absolutely understand :)

I think what Zanthian intended came across the wrong way. :( A lot of people were looking forward to you coming out to visit us, but family always comes first and nobody would ever argue otherwise!

If you ever get the hankering to come back to any of our yearly events, you are absolutely welcome and we'd love to have you!

Thanks guys. I hate to disappoint anybody. Please visit my web site to see what I have. I also have an explanation as to the different formulas I use, if that is something that concerns you. In addition to the web store, I have an ebay store also. I also post specials on Badger & Blade and The Shave Den. (Those go real fast, so check in the evening, when I post new ones). I can post some here also, but I have to read the guidelines for that first. I won't break rules, I'm a real "policy" sticker.

    Thanks again,
    Susie

I don't know how I missed this one, as I'm an avid shaver and have been searching for the perfect soap for years. I finally found my face-mate here. Don't get the brush though, it falls apart in like 3.2 seconds. The soap is divine though, you don't even need aftershave lotion.

Ha -tk. I've been using the C&E Sandalwood soap. It's prolly similar and simply divine.
