    Applied the update package linked and it hosed my Vista install, thank god for System Restore, got everything working again, guess I'll wait for it to be rolled out via Windows Update.

    It's the same package from Windows Update.

    Dunno what happened, I like to consider myself not a noob, but who knows. MS hasn't started distributing it as critical on WU yet, right?

    I have SP2 already installed on 4 different computers at home (1 of them Vista 64bit) since it was released to RTM one month ago. No problems at all. Actually, no difference at all :)

    I find the most reliable method is to slipstream the SP into my OS image and install everything at once. Just seems to work more smoothly that way.

    If it's anything like beta 1, 2 or the RCs, no slipstreaming here.
