Alrighty, got me a new BFG nVidia GeForce GTX260 MaxCore55 896MB PCI-E 2.0 yesterday to replace my MSI nVidia GeForce 9600GT OC 512MB PCI-E 2.0 that was having issues such as causing the video driver to stop responding and also complete freezes. Also was unable to install any driver past the 190 series as when Windows would initialize the driver, all that would happen was I get a blank screen and a blinking cursor and if I reset Windows, Windows would freeze while loading or the Black Screen of Death that tended to occur with this specific card.

Did a bit of diagnosing Thursday night with my brother's GeForce 7950 and installed the 191.07's which installed with no problems, but again had issues with the 9600. So, went to Best Buy yesterday and got the GTX260 and the guy behind the customer service counter was advising me to make sure I had plenty of power on the 12V rails (at least 38A, and I have 54A) because people were returning the card because they apparently didn't have enough power. Told him the I have the Corsair HX620W PSU (he picked up the Corsair 650W PSU and looked at it), and he said I should be good (which I knew already, heh)

Anyway, the card is huge about an inch longer than the 9600. I had to reroute some cables to get the card in too and it just barely fits in my case (Cooler Master Centurion 534+) and everything runs pretty smoothly.

Here's the card on http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814143189

I'm already doing that, have been for about 4 or 5 years. I wonder how much faster I would be using the GPU?

Enjoy your new GTX260! They are pretty good overclockers too. I have overclocked mine to 725/1450/1200 using the stock cooler which is also a very good one.
