Is WD Acronis True Image stuck?

Yesterday I received my 1TB Caviar Green drive:bigggrin: and used Acronis to copy my old drive over to the new. It worked great, but then I wanted to wipe my old drive which I figured I might as well do with Acronis since I got it and it seemed like it would actually do a low level format which I know can take some time. Thankfully I only told it to do a single pass, cause it's been in a state of "Locking Drive G" for at least 12 hours now.

I see no status, no way to cancel... only a hard boot, or do I need to just wait longer? The drive is ticking away at least.

Sounds to me like it's stuck. I've never seen a hard drive that takes 12 hours to wipe with only 1 pass.

I just had those symptoms a couple weeks ago. Did it twice in a row, then I ran Drive Fitness Test. Major fail.
