If you don't count that, my first was a 286 that I built from parts.

    If we're gonna go there:

The first computer in my house was a Sinclair ZX81. My dad even still has it on a shelf next to the 130XE. As I was only a toddler at the time, I didn't use this computer.

First computer the family ever had was an IBM PS2. First that I was allowed to use was a Dell Pentium 90.

First computer that was ever wholly my own was also my first ever custom build: Celeron 433, 128megs ram, TNT2 Ultra.

I saved for months to buy a Compaq Presario with monitor and printer included for around $750.

I think it had an AMD K6-II processor, and I remember buying a Diamond Stealth III PCI videocard for it. I'd play Day of Defeat for hours.

First family computer was a C64 - 4th and Inches, Spyhunter, and a few others were the games of choice on that beast. Then it was a PowerPC that introduced me to the world of PowerPete.

Our first PC was a Tandy 1000.

Gotta love the "adapters to use a monitor, printer, joysticks and light pen, plus "extras" like DOS and BASIC."

My first computer was an old Dell 386 running Windows 3.1 Learned me some DOS at an early age. Used to play Cannon Fodder, 1942 the Pacific Air War and Indianapolis 500: The Simulation on that bad boy. Oh yeah, and Silent Hunter II. Or maybe it was 1....

My first purchased PC was the same Presario that NiGHTS mentioned. I was such a cool kid with that thing.

The first computer I was allowed to use was an 80286 machine with RAM upgraded to 2MB (that was enormous in a 286). First computer of my own was an 80486 DX2 50MHz system that ran DOS and Windows 3.1, although I preferred to stick to true DOS. That thing got a LOT of use. First hardware I ever bought was a Pentium 200MHz motherboard/CPU/RAM combo, which I upgraded my 486 with myself, as I recall.

I consider my first a Leading Edge (shared)

But my very own was a 75mhz Packard Hell from Sears.

Unfortunately, I was gifted a TI-99 by an older cousin at a young age back in '88, but I didn't know what the hell to do with it.. so I wasted the opportunity. ti-994a.jpg

I had a spectrum zx128, then when it broke a spectrum+. The First that was actually my own was a Pentium 75 which got upgraded to a K6-2 350 then a 500. That PC went through about three upgrades before i had to get a new ATX system. The replacement is the one I still have today although none of the components I have now were in the original, Each part has been updated overtime and it has kind of evolved.
