I'm sad to inform you all that I'm 90% certain I WONT be participating his year, due to work and exams. I have exams from 12-15 june, and work after that (being on a boat far out at sea the chances are I wont get any time off) . However, I will see if I may get some time off due to "exam stress", but I wouldn't get my hopes up...

The floor is reserved for those that fall alseep drunk... and usually at least one of these wakes up to find themselves accosted (see Magic Marker Face. Also see indecent/incriminating photos).

I can get on board with that idea. Though I have to be honest, the light pole IS for duct taping, and not looking swank.
We will have space in the tent for approx 52/54 PC's (and power).
The tent is in the backyard of ICHQ, there is a gate and the backyard is fenced. All the tents that people sleep in are also in the backyard. There is generally someone awake and doing something almost 24/7. We have pretty much no security issues at these events.
One time, an iPod was stolen from the tent, and I'm pretty sure it was my neighbor's ex-boyfriend's "friend" whom we didn't know. After that, we made a policy that everybody in the yard had to either be a badgeholder, or know my cell phone number and could call me. If they don't know me, they're gone.
We haven't had a security issue since then, that was two years ago.
I did waltz into the house unattended with everyone out to dinner last year.
I was tempted to sabotage everyone's Intel based box, but my damn conscience!
I just sat and had beers and white castle until everyone returned (I went the the Ford Museum during the duck tape challenge and everyone was gone when I got to the house)
Oh yeah, its pretty cool. Its the Henry Ford Museum, in Deerborne I think about 25 minutes or so away from ICHQ. You and you son would enjoy it. There are cars, planes, and firearms. Last year they had a rock guitar exhibit with a bunch of rocker cars.
I'm not an auto nut, but I just felt really compelled to see something Detroit while I was there, and the Tigers were out of town so I went there on a whim. Fact is they have a big commercial Imax theater there too. Depending on the movie showing at that time, it could make for a cool ICHQ outing, museum then Imax.
Just an tidbit of info... Try USA3000 for flights. I am trying to get down to Florida this summer... Price for tickets was as low as $850 for 4 people. USA3000 has the same tickets for $685 ($172 per person). They have limited flights and desinations but maybe it will work for some of you.
Clearly those who know the madness of my current situation (wedding in December, moved job, company re-org & ZERO holiday between May-July thanks to a massive project I am now leading) means no Expo for me (and the wife). But any locals about in January, we are flying from NYC (after we have left Vegas) on honeymoon
