What's Your Newegg $Number?

edited June 2010 in The Pub
So I thought this would make a fun thread, sorry if it has been done before.
Essentially I am just adding up all my order totals from my NewEgg order history (which they have kept neat and organized for me for the last 8 years).
It helps to use Excel and the glorious clipboard program that come with your OS.

So what is my $number?

$13702,30

For fun , what is my first purchase?
A $70 Samsung 40x CDRW on 7/31/2002

I had my own company and did have a license :) also had to pay taxes :(

in most cases it would have been more, but I started working with direct companies and reseller outlets that were even cheaper than Newegg. But not all outlets have 1 offs for a small guy like I was at the time.

    The NewEgg # $4,351.79

My first 2 purchases were on 9/24/2002. Bought 1 Western Digital Caviar Blue WD800JB 80GB 7200, it must have been such a good deal I decided to get another one minutes later for a RAID 0 setup.

$4065 at Newegg... closer to $10k overall if you count what I've spent at newegg wannabes over here. :)

That number seems strikingly small. Hmm. Also, first purchase was a 19" BenQ monitor that I apparently shipped to somebody else.

$0 But then I'm in Canada so shipping from the states priced it out of what I could buy locally and even now that newegg.ca exists their prices aren't all that much better then Canada Computers.

Wow I am on the low end 300$, rounded. I don't want to think about the 10,000+ I spent at Frys when I worked there; some times you just have to buy all the penny items in your department or that old computer case that now cost 20$ instead of 150$.

The one account I can recover: $17,760.19

I was "in the biz" as they say.

I totaled up my invoices from a local reseller once (Think a local version of newegg - unfortunately they don't exist anymore) and from 1997-2002 it was something like $200K

If I were to take into account my customers' individual newegg accounts that I had access to in order to buy their IT stuff, it would be in the six figures.

My very first order on this account was a 20gb western digital IDE hard drive

Hah, this is a neat but possibly depressing idea. At least it's a curious way to put it into perspective. About $8427, first order in 2002 - 1 x VGA VISIONTEK|GTS-V 32MB% - OEM

Weird looking through old purchases, I can actually remember what most of this stuff went to, and where it is/might be now. Weird to think the wife is still using a 5 year old mouse.
