No video output

So I have everything to put together another computer but when I try to install Windows 7 on a recently formatted hard drive nothing will come up on the monitor. I'm using the video card from my main PC to do this which works so I don't think it's an issue with the video card. I've tried two different monitors and two different power supplies, both slots for the video card on the motherboard and both outputs on the video card. The computer starts up just fine, cd drive will open/close and sounds like it is reading the install disc, fans turn on, hard drive is on but nothing shows up on the monitor, not even a no signal message. I'm out of ideas. Halp.

I'm assuming the top one is a video output but don't know what kind of cable it needs.
no onboard video on that motherboard.
can you list all the specs of the system?
I might guess bad CPU.
Are you getting any beep codes when it posts (do you have the little speaker connected?)?
eidt: nForce 500
It is possible that one of those things could cause the problem. I'd suggest taking it all out of the case, and seeing if having just the cpu/ram/video will let your PC boot to the bios screen
if you pull the ram, do you get beeps?
i suppose PSU is possible too
This is EXACTLY what happened to me with my factory dead Asus motherboard. It was stuck in an endless POST loop....
