    no Crossfire benchies :(

    and Intel still beating AMD..

    nothing shocking here

I think it's hilarious that the benchmarker makes a complaint about the terrible performance of dual core machines, when the alpha MINIMUM requirements CLEARLY stated that at least a quad core machine was needed. I don't see that changing for retail.

fatcat, I wouldn't expect crossfire benches until NDA is lifted. Mean green released a beta driver to try and support alpha testing better, did not seem to help it from being so quirky. Oh well, that is alpha for you.

If you are really interested in it check the BF3 blog. They are changing the temp and feel of the game.

Just a FYI.. the GTX485M runs the basic version of the Alpha with 0 issues.

i mean, if i wasn't lazy and under NDA, I could benchmark it with my Crossfire 6970s...but, yanno

    Fatcat,

Yeah, Intel is also twice as expensive and honestly, I don't think an unnecessary +15 fps boost is really worth +$50-80

If these are accurate performance is much better than I anticipated.

We all know a 640X480 gaming CPU benchmark is absolutely worthless.

Looks like I'm going to have to upgrade mobo/cpu/ram soon.

Been putting this off for a couple years now.
