I have recently discovered the glory that is The Flying Saucer a beer emporium that only Texans and Kansas Citians might know about. They have over 300 beers on tap or in bottles from all over the globe, some of which are pretty hard to come by. From this astronomical list of tasty adult beverages I have consumed.

    McSorley's Irish Black Lager
    Baltika 4
    Ayinger Altbairisch Dunkel
    Morreti LaRossa
    Warstiener Dunkel
    Weihenstephaner Vitus
    Einbecker Mai-Ur Bock
    EKU 28
    Ayinger Celebrator
    Rogue Dead Guy

All of which have been exceptional. My goal is to drink three new beers each week until I have tried at least 200 if not all beers they have listed on their menu.

there is one in nashville. the place was incredible! rogue hazelnut brown nectar is so amazing on draft!

Last night at Bogart's I had a Plymouth gin and tonic (on the house :D) Plymouth gin is rapidly climbing up my list of favored gin. It doesn't quite beat out Citadelle for me, but it's right up there at #2. Very tasty.

Up here in victoria there is a homemade Gin (Victoria Gin). It's made by one guy with 8 small distilleries and it's fantastic. Of course I haven't tried any being underage and all *shifty eyes.* But if you're seriously into gin I might find a way to send you a bottle.

Rockmill - Oak Cask Aged Tripel
Listermann - Smoked Bock (flat again!)
Hoppin Frog - Doris the Destroyer
    Dogfish Head - Burton Baton
Dogfish Head - Shelter Pale Ale
    Brouwerij Huyghe - Fruli
    Great Lakes - Christmas Ale
    Great Lakes - Blackout Stout

That's awesome Scott. How were the homebrews? I imagine the two Three Floyds brews were the highlights of the commercial stuff.

I went to a tasting last night too. The stuff I had:

Apocalypse Cow by Three Floyds Brewing Company
Barrel Aged Naked Evil Belgianesque Barleywine by Hoppin' Frog
Berserker Imperial Stout by Midnight Sun Brewing Co.
Big Bad Baptist Imperial Stout by Epic Brewing Co.
    Bottleworks XII by The Bruery
Bourbon Barrel Warmer by Upland Brewing
Death By Hops by Olde Hickory Brewery
    Everett by Hill Farmstead Brewery
    Framboise by Brouwerij Boon
Grand Cru by AleSmith Brewing Company
Green Peppercorn Tripel by The Brewer's Art
Gueuze Cuvée René by Brouwerij Lindemans
Imperial Milk Porter-Stranahan's Whiskey Barrel Aged by Cigar City Brewing
Imperial Russian Stout (2008) by Stone Brewing Co.
Lood en Oud IJzer by Brouwerij De Molen
Parabola (2010) by Firestone Walker Brewing Company
Parabola (2011) by Firestone Walker Brewing Company
    Posca Rustica by Brasserie Dupont
Provisions Series: Imperial White Orchid by The Bruery
Silent Night by Mother Earth Brewing
Sinners Blend 2009 by The Lost Abbey
Wachusett Imperial Pumpkin by Wachusett Brewing Company
Whiteout Wit Bier by Anchorage Brewing Company
Winter Woods by Cisco Brewers Inc.
XV Baller Stout by Three Floyds Brewing Company

The Hopping Frog Naked Evil and the Framboise were the two highlights of the evening for me. The Naked Evil might be one of the best bourbon barrel barleywines I've come across, and the Framboise was a tart, fruity lambic with amazing flavor.

The homebrews were really good, probably better than the majority of commercial offerings. The cherry wheat, hefeweizen, and apple cinnamon were both made by my "pupil", and they were amazing.

I got to try the Naked Evil at a tasting and I agree. It is definitely the best barleywine I've had to date. The same tasting had a barrel aged Boris Royale by Hoppin Frog, which had to be the top beer at the event. Too bad it's damn impossible to get even this close to the brewery.

It would involve a pilgrimage, but if I find out when it's released I'll add it to the calendar. My co-host would drop everything to get that beer again.

2.5. I have been wanting to go to Brew Kettle as well (I want to learn about their brew on premise operation), so if I do that and throw in a Great Lakes tour it'll be worth a weekend.

    NOS Loaded Cherry (Energy Drink)

Holy Molly this is amazing. It is all that I hoped it could be. Tastes like a Shirley Temple. I can't wait to try it as a Vodka mixer.

i'm (always) drinking when i play tf2 (and pretty much any games), usually i go local beer to support economy and because we (province of Quebec) have over 50 microbreweries and they all are pretty fuckin amazing...
but usually in drinking bitter red ales: 'cause i like my beers like my women: Red with character.
    or just "average" beer like:
    Grolsch
    Newcastle
    Alexander Keith
    Sleeman
    (and so on...)
