    Also, to run GPU folding on Linux you must install X11 (last I looked into it anyway). This adds still more overhead if it's a dedicated folding box.

    At moderate speed, which they spend most of their time they are not loud or annoying. By the way, those are not the stock Thermaltake fans that came with the heatsinks, but are aftermarket.
