    Absolutely. This is about a house that Lincoln bought and a community built. Not whether it was a sound financial decision.

    So anyways, help us tear the roof off of the carriage house. @Cannonfodder will be there too.

    well since i'm a new father I can't donate. However if you need advise on home improvements i'm the guy. My aunt bought a house just like this in Texas and all I can say is damn bat nest in the attic, the wall paper rotted off. It was like scene from the Texas Chainsaw horror flic. $80,000 later the house was done.

    Huge thanks to @J, @AlexDeGruven, @pseudonym, Liz, and @GnomeQueen for coming to assist on moving day. We literally couldn't have done it without them. And high fives to @Lershee, @LeahVoice, and @ickybodclay for helping with the pre-move in the days before.

    Now that I've seen the new ICHQ, I can finally give an opinion:

    A++++ would see again.

    Completely agree. ICHQD is perfect for events.

    The ONLY thing I miss about ICHQ1.0 was the wide open living room/kitchen area. It felt like all the fun was happening in one big party room.

    I know, but I've seen both places and while ICHQ 2 is much larger ICHQ Warren was more open.

    Pretty sure when people partied in the 1800s, everyone was in one room. Also, people never used to hang out in the kitchen (that was where the "help" made your food). Most people like open floor plans, which is why newer architecture is more open, but has less character for those who like the charm of historical architecture.

    I've never seen the old place, but the new place is just amazing. I love the layout, the upstairs and attic is a total win, and the basement is just sexy beyond what I've ever seen. I really like the place and hope to make many more visits to it in the future :)

    @Primesuspect, This should probably be in the pub.

    If the floor can support the weight, I say we start taking donations.

    Edit: basement would probably work better. Just need a fireman's pole to get from the pub to the beer cave quickly.
