AMD 5800k and Hybrid crossfire

Been trying to find any sort of tests to see if this is a viable option for a very small system. Some say the APU won't work with a discrete GPU, while some say a few cards works. Thrax, any chance you have any info on this? I'd like to have the best single slot gpu together with the 5800K.

    Works in hybrid crossfire with a 6670 and 6570.

    Your better investment would be an FX six core and a 7770 as a stand alone card if you are interested in gaming on a reasonably low power profile. Your performance will be better than the APU in any crossfire combination. I'd say if you can look at the APU as enough for your application, which it is for most home theater duty and gaming with some compromises, build with the APU alone, but if you want to game on a smaller system with a low power profile without compromising as much an FX 6300 paired with a 7770 is going to perform much better.
