Bright side @GnomeQueen: Dragonborn will be out for PC by the time you get back down to Skyrim.

Get "back" to Skyrim......how little you know me.

Well I've logged ~200 hours of Skyrim, so I can infer you'll probably never actually "leave" it either.

TF2 is a bad way for me to get to know people. I'm too busy causing explosions and trying in vain not to die while preventing others from dying.

Edit: Thank you, Prime. I'm too tired yet I stay up. Probably cause I'm trying to put an IV in that dang metal rooster on the roof.

lol at somebody watting over 330 hours. This is why I'm terrified that all of you suddenly have raptr accounts and are friending me.
  • ThraxThrax 🐌 Austin, TX Icrontian
No, 330 hours in Skyrim, specifically.
  • SnarkasmSnarkasm Madison, WI Icrontian
It's not crazy, is it? I threw tons of hours at Oblivion, and I think my Dragon Age is around 270 hours... But yeah, I suppose that's a lot for Skyrim.

To be fair, I've the attention span of a beetle, and I'm usually playing Skryim while taking pauses for interneting and Netflix.

in b4 Brian makes fun of me for saying "To be fair."

Started playing Amnesia. Doing it all proper, lights off and everything. Of course, mom texting me ten minutes in and demanding I call my father who had elbow surgery sort of interrupted things.
  • GnomeQueenGnomeQueen The Lulz Queen Mountain Dew Mouth Icrontian
Continued playing. Got to where I stopped the last time I was playing through, at the cellar archives. Have to admit, the Revenants are pretty scary. Luckily, I haven't lost my shit the way I used to back in the good old Ravenholm days yet.

And actually, now *I* having a pounding headache and feel kind of terrible. I actually hope it's game related, and not something else.

Luckily, I haven't lost my shit the way I used to back in the good old Ravenholm days yet.

I remember getting through Ravenholme in college and losing my game saves immediately after. I don't think I touched the game again for a year. Imagine my horror when I realized the part with the caves immediately following that was even worse. Played the rest of episode one with cheats iirc.

    *gets headache

  • GnomeQueenGnomeQueen The Lulz Queen Mountain Dew Mouth Icrontian
Well, the headache was several hours after talking to my parents.

Had a nightmare last night after going to bed. It wasn't thematically related to Amnesia, so I've no idea if they're related. We'll see if I have anymore.

I had a nightmare after you went to bed last night, too. Weird.

Alright, I feel obligated to confess something.

    *Breathes in and out slowly*

After long discussion with a (9) bottle(s) of wine and several therapists, I have come to the conclusion that it's time to tell you all.

    I use guides.

When I get stuck on a game, and I'm particularly puzzled. I use a guide. I know the conventional wisdom is to stick it out and try to figure it out yourself, and I do. But when I can't figure it out after a few tries, I revert to a guide. This is particularly relevant in a game like Amnesia, where you're getting the shit scared out of you while trying to figure out several different puzzles. As it is, today, after trying to do things without a guide, I had to backtrack through several different areas a few times and consult several guides to get it right.

Anyways, I hope none of you judge me too much for my torrid confession. If you do, I probably deserve it. Feel free to feel superior to me for not using guides. (Although I suspect that more of you use them than you'll admit)

    *slinks away, ashamed*

    [Expunged]

If I don't figure something out after a number or tries, then I don't believe I'll figure it out anytime soon and look it up. No need to be ashamed.

Everyone plays games their own way. If that is the way you enjoy games, then that is the way you should play and never be ashamed.

Also, my roommate interrupted my Amnesia last night to get me to wear a face mask.......I'm pretty sure now that the revenants are actually just Asian girls wearing 3d facemasks. They're probably just chasing me around to give me moisturizing tips.

Yeah, when I first started playing GW2, I started to get this really persistent headache behind my eyes. It hurt to turn my head too fast... and then I looked in the mirror, and realized the normally white parts of my eyes were completely red. Scared the crap out of me, but I was assured that it was pretty normal, and that I just needed to take more breaks to relax my eyes.

I'm sure Jackie knows this already, which is why me posting my personal anecdote is pretty self-indulgent... but still relevant. Kind of.
