It's that time of year already. If you're interested in running a 2014 Expo event, time to announce your intentions!

If you're a returning grizzled veteran of Expo events & operations, let me know if you're "in" again this year and if you're looking to do more of the same or something different.

    I'm likely out for expo this year, pending other vacation/work situations, so I won't be planning a tasting event. We shall see.

    I will be happy to run a boardgame room, give a reading/signing, and co-host DTEC as usual, if all those things are still appealing events.

    I will also bring Giant Catan with me. Maybe it'll stay dry this time, and we can get in more than one game.

    I would like to host a paintball event this year. There is a decent looking place about a half hour away, cost would be ~$50 per person, ~1000 rounds per person, includes rental of marker and safety gear.

    Having a MtG Commander/EDH format tournament would be fun.
    Printed proxies could be legal to take cost/rarity/power out of the equation.

    In addition to the official list of banned cards and rules, there are some cards to exclude, as well as the concept of achievement points to add, that make EDH a really fun format.

    Any interest?

    I'm obviously going to work on the DTEC with CB, but this year I'd expect that I'll finally run that shaving workshop I keep promising. Expect 3 tiers of costs depending upon how much equipment each participant needs.

    @sharkydart I want to get a handle on all proposed MTG events before we decide what to move forward with. At the very least I will play you - I have a Commander deck I haven't used in a couple years. :D

    Um. Willing to do a tea tasting if people are interested. Not as elaborate as last year, though, because it was a huge pain in the ass and a lot of driving around... But a simple tasting with some simple sandwiches is very doable.
