  • No doubt, Quake II has it all. I often point at it and say, this is the game every great shooter since has borrowed something from. Prior FPS games used some kind of industrial metal esque soundtrack, but Quake II getting Rob Zombie to do it put that little extra polish on it that made it feel legit.

Quake 2 is definitely the best FPS of all time. It just "feels" right like none other.

So many great games with great soundtracks. Another feather in the cap of video games as a form of art.

Also I will add Yoshi's Island, because goddamn listening to the soundtrack of that game results in a shit eating grin every single time.

Those were some good jams. I played that game with a joystick and felt like a gaming god. Of course, I was about 8 years old.

I listened to the Crypt of the Necrodancer soundtrack while playing in the TF2 tourney at Epic. It was the best decision.

    So Good.

So, would this be considered a necro? :)

Anyway, I was perusing the YouTube a while back and I came up with a few tracks from CoD: Modern Warfare 2

Imagine playing this one in a firefight:

And the soundtrack if I engage "Terminator Mode":

    Post a couple more soon

really enjoyed this game, and as always, Borderlands ST's are top notch

Rebel Galaxy. The soundtrack alone is worth playing the game.

    Dat Frank Klepacki.

Also really liked mass effect's OST.
    Inb4 mechwarrior OST

Good stuff, but it's really the various versions of Hell March from the Red Alert series that made me love C&C soundtracks.

There is so much I could say about this game and eventually I plan to but the soundtrack for Nier: Automata deserves to be on this list. The music is fantastic on it's own but the way it enhances the gameplay and drives emotions during certain parts is nothing short of incredible.
