Hey Arnold! is one of my all-time favorites, and it has aged wonderfully. It's WAY better as an adult as it was as a kid. It caught some flack for not being as silly/funny as the other Nicktoons of its time, but what it lacked in slapstick gags it made up for in intelligent and relateable storytelling. The entire series used to be on Netflix, and I re-watched all of it.

For all those late 20-somethings with cable TV...

A dozen 50-something executives gather in a conference room.

"Netflix undervalues our content! These are our crown jewels and we're forced to hide them!"

"We should just start our own channel! Isn't that what Oprah did!?"

    Everyone nods emphatically.

Narrator: "Meanwhile, their target audience will never be able to see this channel, and its mere existence will continue to inflate cable prices, incentivizing yet more millennials to cut the cord. Dooooooooooooom!"

    END SCENE.

One thing I learned about life from Rocko's Modern Life is that no ones actually gives a shit about anything. I think this episode made me a better person for it.

    This episode is uncomfortably accurate.
