Hi. I'm a school network administrator. I'm trying not to sound like a dick here, but I'm sick of seeing this thread because of how you expect everyone to do the work for you, and others who do the same thing at my school.
Go to the public library after school and download the sounds if your school blocks the sites. I don't mean to sound annoyed here, but the assignment is now what, five weeks overdue? Get to the library today after school, sit down for 2 hours at the unfiltered row of computers in front of the librarian desk and find the sounds. If you can't find them, you're done. Turn the PowerPoint in and chalk it up to choosing an assignment that was over your head for the time allowed; a valuable life lesson in understanding your own limitations.
So, bottom line here, your school is blocking the sites because they don't want you to do this. It's your assignment, so you're going to have to do the work yourself, or do the PowerPoint without the sounds. The end.
Also, I don't claim to be a grammatical master, but to summarize:
OK,{comma unnecessary} guys don't give up on me now! Everybody please try to find thous{those} sounds in any format please. {piss off, I don't work for you} And post them here for me.{incomplete sentence} I will be forever grate full.{grateful. you are not full of grates.}
You'll get a better grade by having someone proofread your PowerPoint than by having sound effects play. If you'd like to have us verify your work after you've put the effort in, I'm sure there are plenty of people that will help. If you'd like us to do your work for you, most people on here know you're not learning anything, and will be dependent on us again. Some will still help anyway, some will realize you're just using nice people for your own gain and won't bother.
Sorry to sound harsh here, but seriously, go do your own work. If you can't do it from school, go do it at the library or the home of a friend. If you don't want to do the work, then you don't deserve to have the sounds. Personally, I think you should spend as much time as possible on making the PowerPoint interesting with actual facts, instead of relying on sound effects.
Yes, I realize I'm being a huge dick here, but I've had about enough of an entire generation of incompetent leeches screaming at employers that they deserve to be hired just "because", or expecting to be given a home from MTV Cribs, and shooting up their old college when they don't get it. Either put the work in to decide your own future, or it will be decided for you. There is no option to *not work for it* AND *get what you want*.
Yeah, it's harsh lesson for some kid looking for "help" on the forums, but probably better than any crap anyone is teaching you right now. Sorry, but this is actually helping you although I'm sure it doesn't seem like it.
