Ok so i got a Sun Microsystems 20incher for cheap. all thats missing is that idiot 13w3 to VGA cable that i can get from ncix.com. Problem is, its fixed freqency.

Model: 365-1160
Max Resolution: 1280 x 1024
Sync Type: Composite
H Freq/ V Freq: 71.7khz / 67hz
Tube Manufacturer: Sony
Monitor Type:
Tube Model: GDM1962B
Tube Size: 19

Now is there a way i can make this work with my PC? Do i need to get my radeon display: H Freq/ V Freq: 71.7khz / 67hz ??
If so, how?
Im on a sapphire radeon 9600np 256ddr with DVI eh Hydravision?

If you set your resolution in Windows it will work but.... you won't see anything until you get into windows. You lose the ability to get into the bios and stuff. Some of the vga tweaking tools have the ability to set the default resolution of the card higher also. I always just set the windows resolution and didn't worry about it.

You just have to set that adapter to run at the correct frequency.

You usualy just have to set it to the right resolution. They don't change and switch resolutions so if its fiixed 1025x768 you have to set the resolution in windows to 1024x768 is all. The video that ran them was fixed at that resolution.

I have used half a dozen different fixed freq monitors and they all did ok just by setting the correct resolution. Some have a weird bnc cable (and I have those also if anyone needs one) but I have never yet had to jack with the hor/vert freq just set the correct resolution and they worked.

Is it a bnc cable with three or four heads on it? For the differant colors? I may have one left in a drawer in the office you can have.
