    AMD's Quad Core solution will be a grand on its own at least. These chips are directed more twords the server market at this point anyhow, so they can make prices as inflated as they want until the 2-3 Q07.

    That's just Newegg's typical actions ripping off the bleading edge players. I imagine that in a month or 2 you will see the price drop down to the MSRP or slightly below. It's one thing that really pisses me off about Newegg; their recent behavior on screwing the leading edge adopters with outrageous pricing.

    Eh, doesnt surprise me. It should be 2x a dual core since it does physically have 2x Dual core CPUs packaged on 1 chip.

    When I saw this price I was thinking about what I could do with the money in getting two of these and whatever with what's left over- and how much I might out-perform it.

    As much as I'd like to have this for folding I'm afraid I don't have enough "enthusiasm" for it.
