Downtime for SM-6

I won't be able to babysit SM6 this week due to work, sooo the oneunit flag was set and it'll have some "quiet time".

With the tight SMP wu deadlines and a flaky internet connection (weather related) I thought it would be best.

There can't be too much left after it got through with us. There are 7' high drifts outside my window right now.

    Keep them there, PLEASE!

We really haven't had a decent storm in a couple of years, we're long overdue.
So far the storm hasn't decided what to do. it keeps switching from snow to sleet. Throw some wind into the mix and the plows can't keep up.

Update since the last "down time"
SM-6 has a nice new pair of AMD heatpipe sinks (the old coolermasters had the fans siliconed on, cause I broke the mounts.) and under them I have officially thrown in a pair of 848 procs. to replace the slower 242's

It seems to have paid off!

I grew up in Perth, Western Australia (looks like DragonV8's stomping ground) and I have never seen snow. :D

I was wondering what was in that thing when an SMx rig appeared on my threat list!

:rarr: The upgrade wasn't much (1.6 to 2.2ghz.) but now the board is maxed out. What's providing the boost is Stanford's SMP client. I've been getting the 2605's-1760 pts but only a 3 day deadline.
So I have to keep a real close eye on what it's doing. Just a little downtime and it won't make the deadline.

Good God! Your doing better than my 30 CPU's :) they seem to be dead in the water or something...
