My Lord of the Rings Battle for Middle Earth 2 won't install completely??

I've had this game for a few years, and have had no problem installing it and playing it on my laptop before. I haven't played on it for about a year so recently tried to install it on the same laptop. However, it begins installing and then stops at 76% saying an error occured whilst installing. When this message occurs, it is trying to install 'D:\data\movies\cs41.vp6'
I checked the system requirements for the game and the system properties of my laptop and i have al the software and space required to run the game.

I would really appreciate it if anyone could help me, thanks.

    Is the disc scratched or damaged in any way? Also, make sure that the last install of LOTR is completely removed from D: before initiating a new install. If possible, try to skip or ignore the error when it occurs, if it gives you the option. It's just a video file, you should be able to play without it.
