Anyone know the best way to send an SMS from PC to mobile?

Does anyone know if there is a simple way to send SMS messages from your PC to a mobile phone. I hate clicking away at my phone keypad when I could send a quick message from my PC (where I spend most of my time) and get back to what I'm doing. I have googled this and only found (what looks like) crappy adware bundled apps that claim to be "free" but are probably just gonna infect my system with spyware etc.

Any suggestions?

You can send them directly from AIM by sending to +(country code)(area code)(phone number).

    For instance: +15554443333

    Also, Google Voice.

Will that work in Australia? Haven't heard of that over here but will look into it. That's what I'm looking for though.

I doubt it. Here is the only one I was able to find in top 5 google results.

    <table><tbody><tr><td colspan="2">AUSTRALIA

    </td> </tr> <tr> <td>0n@optusmobile.com.au</td> <td> T-Mobile/Optus Zoo</td></tr></tbody></table>

It looked promising. I have an optus mobile and followed the instructions (substituting ph number for "n") but no luck.

Google Voice is free to get hooked up with, and will work from anywhere.
