Problem installing HijackThis

Hi, I'm running win98SE and I have a problem installing HijackThis.

It says that I'm missing a MSVBVM60.DLL file.

Please help

Here you go. I would imagine it goes in either the Windows folder or the Windows\System folder.

That may not do it all on it's own. You are missing some of the MS Visual Basic 6 runtime libraries. See this link from the publisher of Hijack This, there is a link to downlaod the libraries from MS.

http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html

Direct link to the VB6 runtime library:

http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...vbrun60sp5.exe

Let us know if that works for you please

Glad you got it straightened out, we are happy to help.

Now that you have gotten rid of your Omegasearch problem, I recommend tightening up your browser security using the tips in this article,
as well as using more caution in your browsing habits as outlined in both that article and the Remove Omegasearch article.

We hope you stick around, we have some great members here, and can help with almost any technical problem. And we have fun too
