Yes I still have to do quite a bit of wire origami, but I ran into a little problem.
As I stated in the stats list, I used a Antec Neo-Power 480. While I am thoroughly impressed with the performance of this PS, their choice in cable parts leaves something to be desired.
I like a NEAT case, so I bought the Neo Power 480 thinking I could make custom cables for it - for aesthetics & improved air flow, not so.
ALL the connectors & pins on the Neo Power 480 are proprietary. The connectors will plug into, and power, all peripherals(HDDs, CDRWs, Fans, etc) with no problems, BUT since the pins have a proprietary locking mechanism, you cannot use standard male or female molex pins on them, say if you wanted make modifications to them. The fins on the sides of these pins are JUST different enough from a standard Molex pin, that a replacement pin will not lock into the housing, on either end. The pins on the power supply side are completely custom also. The ONLY place to get these pins is fron Antec's supplier in Taiwan, and they will only sell them in quantities of 10K! I have a plan to get around this setback, but it will take some time.
If I had known this before buying the Neo Power, I would have gone witha different PS, one that uses industry standard pins and connectors.
