TF2: Map Pack II

I've updated the Icrontic Map Pack!

Why get it BEFORE game night?
To avoid crazy-long download times to get the map through Steam when someone changes to one of these maps.


In this new version:
  • pl_swift: A Badwater-like pushkart!
  • ctf_convoy_v2: A popular map that puts capture-the-flag on the back of two giant, linked vehicles rocketing along.
  • cp_warpath_final, ctf_snofort_final, & ctf_stronghold_b5: Our old standbys.
  • ctf_moonwalk_v2: Updated version
  • melee_ringking & duel_duel2: Silly maps good for killing time and lots of teammates.

Copy the files to:
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\username\team fortress 2\tf\maps

The server maps have been updated to match the map pack too. Make sure you have the versions in this pack.

Does this map pack contain the maps from the original IC Map Pack as well?

Many of them overlap, but I've removed the ones we never played. The map pack contains every non-standard map currently on our server.

Had a lot of fun playing Swift and Warpath last night.

Just as Dustbowl is extremely difficult to defend with 4 or less players, so too is Swift extremely difficult to win with 4 or less. The last 20 feet are brutal.

good lord I miss warpath SO MUCH.

Though I have to admit, I really never liked the warpath_final version, the one we played before it's release was much better in my opinion.

My issue with the other Warpath was getting stuck at the top of the ramp coming out of the ravine, and trying to hop up those damn boxes to get onto the sniper ledge. Both of those things were not well-positioned.

So I guess I should actually learn to play TF2. It's the only Valve game I've never really gotten into, I've probably plaid all of two or three dozen games but I have been pulled in the way I am with most shooters. Plus, I kinda suck at it but I'll give it another go.
