^This.
We have an important decision to make for ICWB and future draft league meetings.
We have to choose one of the following:
a. The 2 packs each event are drafted and trading is permitted but only after each event has ended.
b. The 2 packs are sealed (as in not drafted just opened) and players trade before the tournament begins to attempt to build the best deck with politics (trading).
I do not mind moving to a model with trade but drafting THEN trading negates much of the skill involved in drafting. This model will ensure that either way, the decisions you make before the tournament will more largely affect your yearlong scores.
I personally like the idea of two packs that we can then trade from - would give us a better chance to switch our focus if we wanted to (also trading is fun).
Also, I'm terrible at the whole drafting process so I'm biased.
