Pretty much. That MASK KOA bag is pretty awesome. Tons of room and really comfortable. Only things I'd like to see added are some removable sections for camera gear and a waist strap for heavy loads.

Yep, I was just about to purchase a MASK to travel to IC with this summer, but I guess I'll wait some more...

Guys, to show a some Icrontic love here's a 15% code you guys can use for the M.A.S.K., the Stovepipe and the KAMPUS. It's good for this month and only for you guys (and note we've never run a discount on the M.A.S.K. because of our cost to make them!!)

USE CODE "ICRONTIC15" at checkout at www.slappa.com

    Niiiiice. Thanks Dom!

You're all welcome (although no one has yet used the code). Mertesn thanks for the feedback. We actually currently have in development a M.A.S.K. face for photographers (in the face there is an fast access pocket for a DSLR) + a camera divider insert for MANY additional bodies and lenses (and we are even working on an attachment lens case that can be added to the side of the M.A.S.K.). Also we are adding to the next round of production a "belly strap". As always, if anyone has feedback let us know because we're always listening.

    Thanks

I am a bit confused though? @SLAPPADom: What's the difference between the M.A.S.K Custom and the M.A.S.K TRANSIT Custom? Is it the "face" of the bag?
  • edited May 2011
The M.A.S.K. is one backpack and you can then choose (and change anytime down the road) the face (the KOA, the Transit, the High-Five or the KOOP). The difference between the faces is the cosmetic look and the outer pocket configuration. You can also choose the inner lining color (black, blue or red) and then you can choose (and change anytime down the road) the inner artwork panel (which is the panel on the main wall of the inside of the bag).

I didn’t use the 15% off code, but did buy my KIKEN 18" bag from an Icrontic link about a month ago. It looks like I missed the Multi Flap sale as well :(

I was just a bit upset the SLAPPA logo is the size of my head. No images on your site show this massive SLAPPA logo on the product, so it was an unwelcome surprise.
  • edited May 2011
Sledgehammer70 how about this, we'll hook you up with 2 additional KIKEN flaps of your choice for $30 and no shipping.

As for the SLAPPA logo, are you talking about the padding on the rear of the bag?

    SLAPPADom,

I appreciate the offer but you do not need to do that. While I missed the original Flap upgrade sale you did, that is not your fault. I wasn't posting that as a bad thing if it came off that way :) I am pretty good about missing out on sales and deals.

Yeah the logo I am talking about is the really big one on the back side/ rear of the bag. Just was not expecting to see such a huge logo considering what was shown online. The images of the bag online show the sleek look of the Ballistix Nylon and the flaps.

Sledgehammer we put the padding there for comfort and protection and figured the hand was cooler than a big square. Overall I hope you are happy with the bag

So for those that have a M.A.S.K. already, would the backpack fit as an under-the-seat carry-on on a plane?

I didn't try under the seat. It fit perfectly in the overhead bin when it was stuffed full.

Caveat: It fit in the overhead on a normal plane. On my connector flight (in one of those deathbox jets), it was too big and I had to valet check it.

If it's stuffed full, I honestly don't think it could be considered an under-the-seat bag.

Well for Epic I will have a normal carry-on and have my laptop bag.so it wouldn't be super full. I was just wondering if I got the Mask and had it fairly flat if I'd be able to use it as my one personal item.

Probably so. If it isn't full, there's no reason it shouldn't fit.

I'll purchase another as soon as I see both the camera section and "belly strap" as options! :)

I got my M.A.S.K. on Saturday and it's definitely an awesome bag... Just what I needed for EPIC. With the front compartment for clothes I might not even need another carry-on...

Started packing for my trip back to Ohio next weekend and I am amazed by the amount of space in my new M.A.S.K. The true test will come at the airport (if it is as easy to go through security as it is advertised) but I can definitely see that this a bag that is going to hold up well and be my primary travel bag for years to come.

All I had to do was unzip the laptop section and lay that section flat on the conveyor belt. Flawless victory.

I have to say I was extremely happy with my MASK and it's ease of going through security. It also fit under the seat on the plane (Although it probably wouldn't have if I had packed the non-PC compartment with as much as would fit) to count as my one personal item to go along with my carry-on bag. All in all a great purchase and I would definitely recommend this bag to anyone on the fence. Their Icrontic code ends in a few days so get on it if you're considering the purchase...
