A few weeks later than expected, but no less anticipated, [b]Nvidia[/b] has finally officially released new [i]ForceWare[/i] drivers for 98/ME/NT/2000 and XP. However only the 2000/XP drivers are WHQL.

It has been reported that [b]Microsoft[/b] will not make it to release [i]MSN Messenger 6.2[/i] on April 8th. So they have delayed it to Thursday, April 22. Currently there is no information on why it has been delayed.

[b]Intel[/b] reportedly plans to assign a new numbering system to its [i]Pentium[/i] and [i]Celeron[/i] processors in order to better illustrate their performance to consumers, according to a source familiar with the company's plans.
[blockquote]The chip giant is expected to begin the practice with the launch of its latest Pentium M processor, dubbed Dothan, which is due in the second quarter. Pentium 4 and Celeron chips will also get model numbers, as Intel aims to get the system in place by summer, the source said.
Under the model number system, processors will be given numbers to describe their performance, in addition to being described as running at 2GHz or another speed.[/blockquote]

Investment company [b]BayStar Capital[/b] has confirmed ties between two [i]Linux[/i] foes, saying Thursday that a [b]Microsoft[/b] referral led to $50 million in [b]BayStar[/b] funding for the [b]SCO Group[/b].

TVTool 9.6 introduces the PAL resolution 720 x 576 for Conexant and Chrontel chips. This resolution offers the best picture quality for PAL DVD playback, as these DVDs are mastered at 720 x 576 pixels. Consequently no scaling of the video data is necessary and each DVD pixel is transformed to one pixel on the TV screen. Another advantage is that this resolution does not need to be initialized, also it runs well on older cards (e.g. GF2-MX) as well. 768 x 576 usually makes problems because of bugs in the Forceware drivers.
