We will be selecting no fewer than two additional Board members. Our process for selecting additional trustees will be for the current Board (myself, Brian, and Sarah) to select a pool of finalists from the applications received and conduct one interview per candidate at a time that's convenient for all 4 of us. We'll then make our final selections.

Joining the Board is an act of volunteerism for the community. It does not involve directly moderating members nor technically running our systems. It is the oversight body for all Icrontic business that appoints the leadership for those areas. Experience working as part of a committee is valuable but not required.

Of the thousands of communities built before and since that time, most are long gone. Thanks to all the old-timers for sticking around for so bloody long; your reward is being old. And thanks to all the newer folks for finding common cause with us and keeping things fresh.

A "community" isn't a thing that forms once and exists forever. Change is inevitable and constant. Folks who arrived last week are just as important as folks who have been around all 20 years, because you have one critical thing in common: you kept coming back.

The course we took suggested forming a Sole Proprietorship or perhaps an LLC. We are going to contact my Step Sister-in-law, whom is a CPA. However, I seem to remember a few folks on here work for themselvs. So what do you reccommend, Sole Proprietorship, LLC, or us it even worth it at this stage so long as we put back the right amount for taxes? We hope to market as Neverland Copywriting.

Nothing else matters in my post from here on in, but I'll tell you more since we're all human and want to know more.

It happened fairly late. The truck ran a stoplight; Kyle had the right of way. No DUI was involved and the driver did stop and was arrested. It happened at 12 Mile & Mound, near the old house. An off-duty Warren detective was nearby so the response was extremely fast.

Brian, Nicole, Perry, Tracey, and Ray each rushed to the hospital separately. Aaron and Cola rushed home to give Nicole their car.

I got the text just before midnight as I was about to crawl into my sleeping bag after getting 12 young boys to set up their campsite, eat, and go to sleep at a giant Scouting event happening out near the airport. Luckily another adult from our unit happened to be on staff at the event and was able to cover for me (2 adults are required in camp and there were only 2 of us). I left my tent and walked the mile and a half to my car in the rain, gear strapped to my back.

I got home about 1am. Soon after, the storm really picked up and started pouring. Brian and Nicole returned from the hospital about 2am. Perry spent the night with friends.

I know it’s been a while since I really said much of anything on here, and I apologize for the radio silence, but recent events have come up and I am excited to share it with you, and I’m also sobered from the possible ramifications.

As many of you know, I am VERY politically active here in Indiana, so much so that I’ve had articles written about me, like in the thread posted below.* I’ve still been partaking in such the past few years, but have really been getting into more of the mechanics, such as being active in the County Party and such.

Recently, events have occurred which provided an opportunity to be able to better put forth ideas that I hope will make lives better for my fellow Hoosiers.

So on Friday, I filed to run for State Representative here in Indiana in this year’s elections.

While it is an exciting time for me, I am knowledgeable about this community’s rules about political discussion, and while I make it a point to not intentionally bring up such commentary, I won’t be posting on here for quite a while (mostly to focus on the campaign).

With that, I look forward to the challenge ahead, and let’s go get ‘em!

TS Cristobal is currently in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico making a nearly straight run from the Yucatan to Louisiana. Over here in Big Bend/Forgotten Coast area of Florida, we are seeing some quite heavy rain and a little bit of gusty wind. This storm is not projected to achieve hurricane status, but will still have an impact due to rain and some minor coastal flooding (storm surge). This is significant because the majority of the moisture in this storm system is off to the E and NE of the center of circulation, main impacts of rain and coastal flooding will be from Mobile, AL, to Cedar Key, FL.

Hopefully this storm doesn't slow down and gain hurricane status, but we do desperately need the rain across much of the South, so this is probably a good thing.

And we have one headed towards Florida yet again. I really hope it avoids the Panhandle, we are still hurting really bad after the absolute monster known as Michael completely devastated a huge area last October. They are still doing clean up and the infrastructure just to the West of me (I am in Tallahassee for those who don't know) is still iffy at best, some areas only received full power restoration in May.

The current track for (now) Tropical Storm Dorian has it hitting between Ft Lauderdale and Jacksonville, with most models centering closer to Daytona, as a mid level Category 3 storm before coming across the state and either entering the super warm Gulf waters or staying inland and just cutting a swath NW across the heart of the state including Tallahassee. If it enters the Gulf of Mexico it could restrengthen back to a Cat 3 or higher, those waters are HOT in the northern Gulf, 88F+ and that is just fuel for the fire.

Presidential Proclamation -- National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, 2015

NATIONAL OVARIAN CANCER AWARENESS MONTH, 2015

BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

A PROCLAMATION

This year, more than 14,000 women will lose their lives to ovarian cancer -- the most deadly of all female reproductive system cancers -- and more than 21,000 of our mothers, daughters, wives, and sisters will be diagnosed with this terrible disease. Every day across our country, families, friends, and communities come together to support and empower those who are fighting for their lives, offering encouragement and bringing hope for a cancer-free future. During National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, our Nation pauses to lift up all those who know the pain of this disease, honor those we have lost, and renew our commitment to fighting ovarian cancer through more effective prevention, detection, and treatment.

Ovarian cancer is difficult to detect early -- there is no simple and reliable way to screen for it and symptoms are often not clear until later stages. By recognizing possible warning signs and unexplained changes, women can increase their likelihood of detecting ovarian cancer in its early stages when treatment is most effective and the chances for recovery are greatest. To bolster these efforts, my Administration has continued to invest in innovative research to improve early detection and treatment of ovarian cancer, and we are working hard to increase public awareness among women about all types of gynecological cancers. To learn more about risk factors and symptoms, Americans can visit www.Cancer.gov/Ovarian.

I encourage all women to speak with their health care providers about ovarian cancer. Under the Affordable Care Act, most health plans are now required to cover well-woman visits without copays or deductibles -- providing millions of women with the opportunity to access critical care and talk with health care professionals about risks they may face. Provisions in the law also eliminate annual and lifetime dollar limits on coverage and prohibit insurance companies from denying participation in an approved clinical trial for cancer or another life-threatening disease. The law also forbids insurers from denying coverage due to a pre-existing condition, such as cancer or a family history of cancer.

This month, we stand with all those who continue to fight this devastating disease and with those who have lost loved ones because of it. Along with the advocates, medical researchers, and health care providers who tirelessly battle this disease every day, we rededicate ourselves to the urgent work of increasing awareness and improving care for those with ovarian cancer -- and we continue forging a future free from cancer in all its forms.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim September 2015 as National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Alas my journeys will take me to Cali so may not be able to stop by for a visit, but am really excited to see that you still holding your annual fests and that the community is still so strong. I really hope I can pop in a lot more regularly and catch up with everything that has happened since my last visit. I know Prime and Link were still fixing up the house and were getting awesome support from the icrontic community. Im dying to see how everything turned out and look forward to trolling the archives.
