CRT Projector (Electrohome ECP 2100)
I can purchase an Electrohome ECP 2100 CRT projector for $500. It's from an individual so there is no warranty/guarantee. I can go to his house to see it in action to make sure it's good, but if it craps out on me the next day, I have no recourse.
My question: Is $500 too much? How long do CRT projectors normally last? Is this thing likely to work for years so long as I keep replacing bulbs? What type of maintenance is required? How much do bulbs for CRT projectors run?

They usually go for about 1500$ used, so there must be a reason why he's selling it for so low. Ask him to turn it on after you get there. Find out how much replacement bulbs cost (ask him for a dealer and call the dealer yourself) and look inside for any scorching
Here are some specs (if you haven't seen them yet):

Also, check and see if you have the proper space (they cna get noisy and need about 3 metres (about 10 feet from the screen at least).
If you're comfortable, then grab it, cause nothing beats a CRT
The link you provided does not seem to work. Are you sure that's the correct link? If so, perhaps crtcinema.com's server is down, or just unreachable by me for some reason.

If it doesn't work I'll pdf some pages and post them here.
PS: looking at the aprts list for your electrohome, the lamp is ~500$ new and 350$ used.
