AIM Fix detected/quarantined SynCor.exe; Need a help![resolved]
I ran AIM Fix, and it found/quarantined SynCor.exe; but I cannot recognize the file as virus or not.
According to the article at www.file.net/process/syncor.exe.html, the file could be recognized as either a driver for Soundmax soundcard or a virus. I have a Soundmax system in my PC, and do not know whether I should delete the file or not.
The anti-spyware+ anti-virus programs in my PC found no infections when I scanned the PC w/: a2 free, Ad-aware, Ewido, Kaspersky oline scan, Spybot S&D, Spysweeper, Symantec Antivirus, Windows Defender, and a self-execution programs (ex. About buster, cwshredder, E2 takeout, Stinger...etc)
I would really appreciate if anyone would help me on this issue.
Thank you for your time and assistance!

Anyone?
No, I do not have any serious problem, but I noticed protection for one cookie, 100Hot, was disabled in Spyware Blaster, though I could enable the protection after the notice.
If possible, would you give me a lesson to decipher a HJT log? I began learning to decipher the log, but I need a help! I checked Spyware shooter's website, but I still do not understand...
Thank you very much!
I now have a problem with my firefox; I posted the problem in Software Discussion forum, the post is titled "Unable to install McAfee Site Advisor for Firefox".
I tried deciphering my HJT log, but found no suspious files. My friend reviewed the log, and said my PC seems to have no problem.
If possible, would you be able to teach me any other methods to detect possible spywares in my PC? ;because I feel my firefox is partially hijacked, and fear the possibility of hidden spywares in my PC.
Thank you for your time and sticking with me!
Update it, run a complete system scan. Save a log file, remember to select Apply All Actions. Unfortunantly I am not well versed in the ways of problems with installations, so I can't help you there, but if you have processing problems, I'll be here
The Ewido found nothing, and plain white log was created for the scan; I post only HJT log here:

I would suggest Uninstalling and Reinstalling your printer(if that's the case) and see what happens to that entry.
Fix this:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [LXBXCATS] rundll32 C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86\3\LXBXtim e.dll,_RunDLLEntry@16
Repost HJT log after reinstallation of printer.
Whats wrong about that? Its the printer monitor executed at startup.
Helpneed, Can I ask a favor of you?
Please open the command Prompt.
Then type the following:
tasklist /m /fi "IMAGENAME lxbxmon.exe" >C:\lxbxmondlls.txt
Now go to your C:\ Folder and locate that text file.
Please paste the information here.
1.Lxbxmon.exe
2.Its verifiable that he has a lexmark 7100 series printer because he is running other processes from there, and they are all coming from C:\Progra~1\Lexmar~1\ .
3. But just like many files, its just a name. I settle, you win the argument. Who cares, just lets get it clean.
To Mike:
I typed the tasklist... at command prompt, but got "'tasklist' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file" message.
To mtunick:
I fixed the O4-...entry, uninstalled/reinstalled the printer, and ran a HJT; I post the new HJT log here:

Thank you for the check again!
What are the remaining problems?
Yes, I am having a problem with my web browser as I said above.
Also, I noticed some websites began viewing in html.text version without any pictures/graphics, though I do not block cookies for those websites;
www.dictionary.com and www.thesaurus.com are not viewed as previously.:bawling:
I would really appreciate if you would tell me what I should do next to solve the problem.
Thank you very much!
The Multimedia section does not exist in my firefox; would you tell me the next step I should take to solve the problem?
Thank you so much!
In Firefox go to Tools, Options, Content, and make sure Load Images Enable Java, and Enable Javascript is checked.
Yes, those options are checked.
Do you think I could not fix the problem?; because I am feeling hopeless :sad2:
Could anyone help me?
Thank you for all!
I restarted my PC in an attemp to solve the problem, but the restart did nothing.
I shutdown my PC, started my PC, then, those websites are viewed as previously with graphics.
But the siteadvisor problem still persists; I will seek a help to somewhere.
Thank you all for helping me three weeks!
