[credit]ubuntu.com[/credit][/figure]A new version of Ubuntu was released today. Version 8.04 is a long term support (LTS) release, and will be officially supported until at least 2011 for the desktop version. Among its features is a new version of X.Org Server that should improve multi-monitor support, and a snazzy new wallpaper. How's that for an "ultimate extra?"
Download 32 or 64-bit versions of the desktop or server versions here.

Wubi will be especially nice on my laptop that Dell used a really funky partitioning scheme on. I've been using the Live CD of Gutsy, and it's going to be oh-so-nice not to have to apt-get every time I load
the command line cheat sheet is a very helpful thing....
I'm afraid I'm not familiar with what this is- can you explain or buzz me a link?- we have a Dell LT in the family.
Regardless- intriguing ... definitely intriguing
The screencap below is from the disk management console on my Inspiron 1520. I'm just not sure what's up with those two non-mounted partitions. I think one may be for the Dell Media Center thing that it can boot into. Come to think of it, I'm not sure what's on the recovery partition, either. Seems to just be the OS install with no periodic updates of my profile. Lame - they should have just given me a DVD for that.
