Gigabyte GA-K8N Ultra SLI Motherboard

edited January 2006 in Hardware
Hi,
i bought the Gigabyte GA-K8N Ultra SLI Motherboard nad a SATA 2 hard disk.
I have to create a floppy with SATA boot drivers to install Windows 2000 Pro.
The drivers from gigabyte are only for the Sil3114 Chipset that control SATA.

But my hard disk doesnt work with SATA connectors, only with SATA 2.
Does anyone know which drivers i have to use? (SATA 2 Connectors are controlled by nforce4 sli chipset).
I have only used ide hard disks before, so i am a little bit confused...

Here is a list of the Drivers from Gigabyte, anyone that i can use?

Thanks Lars

I think it is this one http://tw.giga-byte.com/Download/Download.asp?FileExtName=exe&DownloadPath=/MotherBoard/FileList/Driver/driver_sata_nf4_boot disk_2k

As this is the one for the Nvidia Board.

I have moved the post to Storage and Controllers as this is not really an emergency.

driver_sata_nf4_boot disk_2k.exe doesn't work. He tries to read the floppy but then goes on without installing something. But thanks for the help.

are you sure you've got the driver installation procedure right? You have to extract the files from that .exe and put them on a floppy disk, not just put the .exe on a floppy.

    Hi,
(sorry was away for a few days), yes i extracted the drivers on a floppy, but it doesn't work. After pressing F6 he continues with installing windows configuration and only then starts reding the floppy (but nothing happens after that), The floppy works on other computers, so i dont know what to try next. (in Bios i also tried a lot of configurations, but with the others he cant read the Sata harddrive).
