"I may be a victim..." Windows Update is annoying

Okay guys. On my work computer, I've had windows update running. When I got in this morning, it had installed a new update and now I get lovely messages telling me that the copy of XP is TEH STOLED!

Obviously my employers got wealthy by not spending money, but the little star icon in my task bar that keep popping text baloons up is annoying, so they may have to buy me a nice new legit copy. I don't want to reformat the whole system. Does anyone know if I can use something like RockXP or a cough*keychanger*cough to put in the new legit serial number that I'm going to ask for, and if that will get these annoying messages to quit popping up?

Thanks. I'd rather they went legit here.

I'm pretty upset that they'd run illegal software at a business like this. We can't afford to be taken to task. The fines would shut us down for sure.
